The ASUS ROG Strix Arion Lite is a portable USB-C enclosure designed for compatible M.2 PCIe NVMe solid-state drives. It allows you to reuse an internal NVMe SSD as fast external storage for game libraries, media files, project backups, software installers and everyday file transfers.

Its USB 3.2 Gen 2×1 Type-C interface supports transfer rates of up to 10 Gbps when connected to a compatible host device and SSD. Actual performance will depend on the installed drive, USB port, operating system, file type and system configuration.

The aluminium-alloy enclosure helps disperse heat during sustained use, while the included thermal pads assist heat transfer away from the installed SSD. The tool-free installation layout makes drive fitting straightforward, without requiring conventional SSD mounting screws.

Compatibility Notes

This enclosure is for PCIe NVMe M.2 SSDs only. It does not support SATA-based M.2 B-key or B+M-key SSDs, and it is not compatible with PCIe AHCI M-key drives. Please confirm your SSD protocol, key type, physical length and controller compatibility before purchase.

Transfer performance is limited by the slowest component in the connection, including the SSD, USB cable, USB port and host device. A USB 3.2 Gen 2 compatible USB-C port is required to achieve the best possible speed.
