The Micron 2200 256GB is an internal NVMe solid state drive designed for systems that support an M.2 PCIe NVMe storage slot. Compared with traditional mechanical hard drives, an NVMe SSD can help improve system responsiveness, application loading and data access for compatible computers.

Built in the common M.2 2280 size, this drive measures approximately 22mm wide by 80mm long and installs directly into a compatible M.2 socket. It is suitable as a replacement drive, an operating-system drive or a storage upgrade where a PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD is required.

It is commonly suitable for compatible business laptops and desktops from brands such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS and Microsoft Surface devices, provided the device supports an M.2 NVMe PCIe drive.

Important compatibility note: This drive will not work in systems that only accept 2.5-inch SATA drives, M.2 SATA-only drives, mSATA drives or M.2 slots wired exclusively for wireless cards. Please confirm the original drive type, M.2 slot length and NVMe support before purchasing.

Before ordering, check that your computer has an M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe slot, supports an M-Key NVMe SSD and has BIOS support for NVMe booting if this drive will be used as the primary operating-system drive. Actual usable capacity is lower than 256GB after formatting and system files are installed.

Coverage applies to verified faults present under normal intended use and does not cover physical damage, liquid damage, incorrect installation, accidental damage, unauthorised modification or data loss.

Please confirm compatibility before purchase. For a return assessment, the drive must be returned with its original labels intact and in the same condition supplied. Buyers should back up important data regularly, as no storage device can guarantee protection from data loss.

If the SSD is being installed as a replacement system drive, ensure all important files are backed up before removing or replacing the existing drive.
