ASA Online – Terms of Service
1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your access to and use of the ASA Online website located at https://asaonline.com.au/ and any related pages, content, products and services (Website).
1.2 The Website is owned and operated by ASA IT Services (trading as ASA Online) ABN 86 668 156 278, based in the Australian Capital Territory, Australia (we, us or our).
1.3 By accessing, browsing or using the Website, creating an account or placing an order with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy (together, the Agreement). If you do not agree, you must not use the Website or purchase products from us.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
2.1 You must be at least 18 years old, or accessing the Website under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, to place orders or create an account.
2.2 When you create an account, you must provide accurate, current and complete information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activities that occur under your account.
2.3 We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Website at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or engaged in fraudulent, illegal or abusive behaviour.
3. Products and Services
3.1 We sell computer hardware, refurbished computers, custom‑built PCs, laptop chargers, batteries, screens and related accessories, as described on the Website from time to time.
3.2 Product descriptions, specifications, images and compatibility information are provided for general guidance only. While we aim to ensure accuracy, minor variations (for example, in colour, packaging, or model revisions) may occur and do not constitute a defect.
3.3 You are responsible for ensuring that any product you purchase is suitable for your intended purpose and compatible with your device or system, including checking model numbers, power ratings and form factors before ordering.
4. Pricing, Taxes and Payment
4.1 All prices on the Website are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD). Unless otherwise stated, prices are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) where applicable under Australian law.
4.2 We may change prices at any time without notice. The price payable for a product is the price displayed on the Website at the time you submit your order, plus any applicable delivery charges.
4.3 While we aim to ensure prices are accurate, we may cancel an order where a pricing or typographical error is obvious and could reasonably have been recognised as a mistake, even after an order has been submitted and payment received.
4.4 Payment must be made using the payment methods offered at checkout (for example, credit/debit card, PayPal, or other third‑party payment gateways). Your use of any third‑party payment service is subject to their terms and conditions.
4.5 Your order is an offer to buy products from us. We only accept your order when we issue an order confirmation or dispatch the products. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order for any reason, including suspected fraud, stock unavailability, or errors in product or pricing information.
5. Shipping, Delivery and Risk
5.1 We offer shipping and, where available, click & collect from our Canberra location as described on the Website.
5.2 Indicative delivery timeframes provided on the Website or at checkout are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to courier issues, public holidays, or other factors beyond our control.
5.3 Risk of loss or damage to products passes to you when the products are delivered to the delivery address you provide, or when you collect them (for click & collect orders). Title to the products passes to you once we receive full payment in cleared funds.
5.4 You must promptly inspect products upon delivery and notify us of any apparent damage, shortage or incorrect items within a reasonable time.
6. Australian Consumer Law and Consumer Guarantees
6.1 Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
6.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred on you by the ACL or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded by agreement. Any provision of these Terms that purports to do so is of no effect to that extent.
6.3 To the extent permitted by law, our liability for breach of a non‑excludable guarantee is limited, at our option, to the repair or replacement of the goods, the supply of equivalent goods, or the payment of the cost of having the goods repaired, replaced or supplied again.
7. Returns, Refunds and Warranty
7.1 Our Refund Policy (available via link in the footer of the Website) sets out how we handle returns, refunds, repairs and replacements, including processes, timeframes and any proof of purchase requirements.
7.2 In addition to your rights under the ACL, some products may include a manufacturer’s warranty. Any manufacturer’s warranty is separate from this Agreement and is provided by the manufacturer on the terms they specify. You may need to contact the manufacturer directly to make a claim.
7.3 Please carefully follow our instructions for returning products, including packaging and shipping, to avoid further damage. We may refuse a claim or reduce a refund where products have been misused, abused, damaged through improper handling, or where your change‑of‑mind return does not meet our Refund Policy conditions.
8. User Obligations and Acceptable Use
8.1 You must use the Website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
Interfere with or disrupt the Website or any servers or networks connected to it
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website, other accounts, or computer systems

10. Third‑Party Content and Links
10.1 The Website may contain links to third‑party websites, services or social media platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok). These are provided for convenience only and may be subject to separate terms and conditions.
10.2 We do not endorse, control or accept responsibility for any third‑party websites or content. Your use of third‑party sites is at your own risk and subject to the terms and policies of those third parties.
10.3 We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness or reliability of any third‑party information displayed on or linked from the Website.
11. Disclaimers
11.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to section 6 above, the Website and all content, products and services are provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties or representations of any kind, whether express or implied, except as required by the ACL or other non‑excludable law.
11.2 We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error‑free, secure or free from viruses or other harmful components. You are responsible for implementing appropriate security measures (such as anti‑virus software and backups) to protect your devices and data.
11.3 Any information or advice on the Website is general in nature and does not take into account your individual circumstances. You should seek professional advice where appropriate before relying on any content.
12. Limitation of Liability
12.1 Subject to section 6 and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or any indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the Website, products or this Agreement.
12.2 Where our liability cannot be excluded under the ACL or other law, but can be limited, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Website, products or this Agreement is limited to the amount paid by you for the relevant product or service.
12.3 You agree to indemnify and hold us (and our officers, employees and contractors) harmless from any loss, damage, claim, liability, cost or expense (including legal costs) arising out of or in connection with your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Website, except to the extent caused by our negligence or breach of the ACL.
13. Privacy and Cookies
13.1 Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information, including when you browse the Website, create an account, sign up to our newsletter, or place an order. By using the Website, you consent to our handling of personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13.2 The Website may use cookies and similar technologies to improve functionality, analyse traffic and personalise content. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, but this may impact your ability to use some features of the Website.
14. Changes to the Website and Terms
14.1 We may update, modify or discontinue the Website (or any part of it) at any time without notice.
14.2 We may revise these Terms from time to time by posting an updated version on the Website. Changes take effect from the date they are posted, unless stated otherwise. Your continued use of the Website after any changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
14.3 If we make significant changes that materially affect your rights or obligations, we may also provide additional notice (for example, a notice on the Website or by email, where you have provided an email address).
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
15.1 These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Website, products or this Agreement are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
15.2 You and we submit to the non‑exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Australian Capital Territory and any courts that may hear appeals from those courts.
15.3 We encourage you to contact us first to attempt to resolve any concerns or disputes informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved through good faith negotiations, either party may seek any remedy available at law.
16. General Provisions
16.1 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be severed from the Agreement and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
16.2 Our failure or delay in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms does not operate as a waiver of that right or remedy.
16.3 You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights or obligations without your consent where reasonably necessary for our business operations (for example, due to a merger or sale of business).
